A focus on comparative and fair tests. What’s the difference?
Through practical activities we will explore the skills children engage in when carrying out a fair test investigation.
We will carry out investigations and determine what makes the test a ‘fair test’ or ‘comparative test’ and what the progression of skills within these tests might look like.
You will leave with greater confidence in supporting children in “planning, carrying out and evaluating investigations that they had, in some part, suggested themselves.” Maintaining Curiosity 2013.
